Progressive RockAlso known as art rock, the intention of this genre was to expand the limits of rock and roll. Gaining influence from the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper album. Generally speaking progressive rock music typically consists of long, complex instrumental passages, frequently accompanied by dramatic, grandiose flourishes that showcase the talent of the musicians. |
